I just wanted to take a little time to talk about the impact of my new lifestyle on my family and friends.
I've mentioned before that it was primarily my mom who turned me on to the Sugar Busters diet. I think it's fair to say that the diet has become almost a family affair. In addition to my mom and I, my sister and brother-in-law have also started eating according to the Sugar Busters diet. Additionally, the remaining family members have, more or less, been subjected to the Sugar Busters diet because my mom, sister and I are the primary cooks in our respective families. The end results have been great.
The nice thing is: nobody is really complaining about the changes we've made. They don't really even see it as a diet. There are occasional grumblings about the fact that nobody seems to bring hot dog buns to the family cookouts. But we're still enjoying family dinners together and the desserts are really great--they're just healthier.
I should also mention that I have several friends who have asked about my progress and have tried the Sugar Busters diet. Not all have stuck with it, buy many have made small changes to their eating habits for the better.
So, overall, this has been a positive experience, not only for me, but for my friends and family too!
