(Wade Wingler before and after)
The perils of weighing in each day are few and insignificant.

Some folks will disagree with me, but I think it's important to weigh every day.  It's equally important to know that your weight will fluctuate some, every day, no matter what you do.  (see previous rule)

However, I've learned that I can do a lot damage to my weight loss program in 3 or 4 days of not weighing.  So, I weigh myself every day, first thing, in the nude, after having used the restroom (every extra ounce lost counts!)

If I see a trend of weight gain that adds up to more than 3 or 4 pounds and lasts for more than 3 or 4 days, I go into problem solving mode.  It's very possible that the gain might be related to hydration or an increase in muscle mass.  However, if this gain is related to the fact that I've been eating too much, then I use that feedback to change how much I eat.  For me, waiting for a weekly weigh-in gives me too many days to misbehave before having the information I need to take corrective action.

So, the perils of weighing in each day are few and insignificant.
